| HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR ADMIRE
METEORITE
The Admire has been prepared using modern techniques and very careful processes. So I believe they are ready to be added to your collection and should look just as great for years to come. The finishing touch on our process is a very high quality clear coat of acrylic. This helps to keep moisture off the slices, but at the same time it doesn't allow you to coat the slice with oil. So keep that in mind they do not need be oiled as there is a clear coating on both surfaces. Now some things you can do. Try to provide the best possible environment for these Admire meteorites, of course the same goes for all your meteorites. Try to avoid too much change in temperature so as long as they are in the house this should already be taken care of. Now if you can keep the air inside your display case dryer that is better for any meteorite. In order to keep moisture out I use and recommend a small dehumidifier unit in each display case. Mine is called a "Renewable mini-Dehumidifier." When it gets too much moister in its pellets it turns a pink color. All I have to do is take it to an area where moisture is not a problem and plug it in. The unit warms up and releases the moisture into the air and is soon ready to dry your display cases again. The manufacturer says this unit will last 10 years and they only cost about $20 each. That is about all you can do besides look at your meteorites often and make sure there is not a problem getting started in any of them. When you catch a problem early it is much easier to fix it sooner rather than later.
