— ETCHED CANYON DIABLO METEORITES FOR SALE — |
I am offering some etched Canyon Diablo meteorites
for sale here. These first one is an end cut from one highly shocked meteorite.
The second and much larger one shows the intact widmestatten pattern.
The Canyon diablo is one of the hardest meteorites to cut and much of
it is shocked as the impact was quite an event. Pieces were thrown at
least 4 miles from the 1/2 mile wide crater that the impact formed. So
it is no surprise the the widmestatten pattern was altered from this huge
explosion. |
